India – the second, and who knows if not the first, in terms of population of the world country – is a market with undoubtedly huge potential. For this reason, we have fully decided to participate in the Food Ingredients India fair for the first time. This is the largest, but also the only event of its kind in India, organized in 2019 in Mumbai.
The fair was very professionally prepared, and the majority of visitors turned out to be “from the industry”. For this reason, from the very beginning of the event, the Mokate Ingredients team had a lot of work to serve potential customers who visited our stand. To a large extent we were surprised by the knowledge and level of expertise of visitors. At the same time, we can confidently assess the interest in our offer as high (especially in the field of fat powders and frothers). Already outside the exhibition time, we had the opportunity to visit several shopping points to get acquainted with the Indian “shelf” of coffee premixtures, how different from European (e.g. 2in1 or 3in1 drinks are rare on it).
For Mokate Ingredients, it was the first opportunity to present their offer at the Indian market. The sales development project is in the preliminary stage, but we are convinced that for every company that wants to appear on the Indian food semi-finished market, participation in the FI India Fair is mandatory.
